Simple Contact Wireless Transfer Unit WCP-LR16u

WCP-LR16U is a contact wireless transfer unit with a simple configuration that is used in pairs. By simply connecting the WCP-LR16U to equipment, wireless transfer is possible up to 16 contacts between equipment approximately 300 m (328 yd) indoors and approximately 2,000 m (2,187 yd) in line of sight.

Possible wireless transfer up to
"uni-directional 16 contacts" and "bi-directional 8 contacts"

Possible wireless transfer up to approximately 300m (328 yd) indoors
and approximately 2,000 m (2,187 yd) in line of sight

Possible to use simultaneously up to 15 pairs of the unit within
the same communication area

Setting and installation are easy, and no wiring is required.
It can be used in various cases.

  • Monitoring of abnormalities and operation status from production equipment
  • Start and stop instructions between AGVs and stations
  • Monitoring alarms from environmental measurement equipment
  • Demand control of air conditioner outdoor units
  • Monitoring the status of production robots
  • Monitoring various liquids in storage tanks and pipelines in plants, etc.

Possible wireless transfer up to approximately 300 m (328 yd) indoors
and approximately 2,000 m (2,187 yd) in line of sight

In standard mode, "communication distance of approximately 300 m (328 yd) indoors"
and "response time of 250 ms". In long-range mode, it can be extended to
"communication distance of approximately 2,000 m (2,187 yd) in line of sight".

Note: Response time refers to the time it takes from when a signal is inputted into the input terminal until a signal is outputted from the output terminal of the paired unit.
Response time and communication distance may vary depending on the usage conditions.

Possible to use simultaneously up to 15 pairs of the
unit within the same communication area

By incorporating in-house developed small LoRa wireless module
(920 MHz band wireless communication),
we have achieved simultaneous usage of up to 15 pairs of the unit.
  • By setting a unique channel for each pair of the unit from the available 15 channels, it becomes possible to have simultaneous usage of 15 pairs of the unit within the same communication area.
  • By conducting communication with the paired unit only during "input signal change" and "communication status monitoring", we minimize communication errors caused by radio interference as much as possible.
  • If a communication error occurs, the unit will automatically resend the signal during communication status monitoring to ensure reliable delivery to the paired unit.

Possible to use simultaneously up to 15 pairs of the unit within the same communication area

Note: If communication errors occur despite having a good communication environment, please try the following: "Change the channel," "Increase the distance between WCP-LR16U units," and "Set non-adjacent channels to each WCP-LR16U installed in close proximity".

Note: The number of available pairs of the unit remains the same for both standard mode and long-range mode.

Note: The number of available pairs of the unit remains the same even if the pairs set in standard mode and the pairs set in long-range mode are mixed within the same communication area.

Communication Environment
Checking Function

By conducting continuous communication with the paired unit, the communication environment is displayed using LEDs in 5 levels (excellent, good, fair, poor, very poor). You can use the check result of the communication environment as a reference to determine the installation location of WCP-LR16U.

Communication Status
Monitoring Function

WCP-LR16U conducts communication with the paired unit at intervals of the set time (10 s / 60 s) and performs LED lighting and error output when communication errors occur.

Contact Compatible

When using the WCP-LR16U terminals in the input setting, you can switch between voltage contact input and non-voltage contact input by opening and shorting the A and B terminals.
